Appalachian State Players to watch:

**Sophomore QB Zac Thomas (6-2/207)

Thomas enters the Sun Belt Championship Game with 18 touchdown passes, eight rushing touchdowns and just four interceptions. He ranks among the nation’s top 35 quarterbacks with league-leading totals in QBR, passing efficiency and yards per completion.

Senior SS John Thomas  (6-0/209)

Thomas is the leader of the Appalachian State defensive backfield, dubbed “The Legion of Boone.”  The junior captain had two interceptions and 33 tackles as the starting safety.

Senior DT Myquon Stout  (6-1/286)

Stout, a two-year captain, is the anchor up front whose work helped App State’s defense give up an average of just 9.2 points in the team’s nine regular season victories. 

*Junior LB Jordan Fehr  (6-2/227)

Fehr had 75 tackles, a team-high 5.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and a key safety (at Coastal Carolina) during the regular season.  He had a 15 tackle game against Arkansas State.

Middle Tennessee State Players to watch:

Senior QB Brent Stockstill  (6-0/215)

Stockstill closes historic career as C-USA MVP.

Stockstill owns almost every program passing record and ranks in the top 10 in C-USA history in career pass attempts, completions, completion percentage, yards, touchdowns and interception percentage. He’s also tied for 20th all-time in the NCAA in touchdown passes (105).

Senior OG Chandler Brewer  (6-6/312)

Protecting Stockstill is Blue Raider senior guard Chandler Brewer.   Brewer graded out a winner in all 13 games while allowing just one sack in over 400 pass attempts.

Senior LB Darius Harris  (6-3/240)

Ranks second on the team with a career-best 91 tackles, including 11.0 TFLs, 5.0 sacks, five hurries and four pass breakups (also, all career bests). The New Orleans Bowl game will be his 53rd career game played which would be a new school record.

**Sophomore SS Reid Blankenship  (6-1/197)

Blankenship led the Blue Raiders defense with a career-best 101 tackles on the season to go with a personal high 8.0 TFLs, two interceptions and seven pass breakups.
