Buffalo Players to watch:

Senior WR Anthony Johnson  (6-2/207)

Johnson ranks fifth in the Bulls receiving record books.

Johnson leads the team with 52 receptions for 944 yards and 11 touchdowns. In only 24 career games, Johnson already ranks fifth in school history in career receiving yards with 2,300 and third in career touchdowns with 25. 

Senior LB Khalil Hodge  (6-1/235)

Hodge leads the team in tackles with 139. In only three seasons, Hodge ranks third in school history with 416 tackles. He is the fastest player in program history to reach 400 tackles. Hodge is one of the top linebackers in school history. 

*Junior QB Tyree Jackson  (6-7/245)

He has thrown for 2,605 yards and 25 touchdowns and has rushed for seven more scores. He has accounted for 32 touchdowns on the year which is a school record for a single season.

Senior DE Chuck Harris  (6-4/285)

A disruptive force off the edge, Harris leads the Bulls in sacks with six to go along with 40 tackles and seven tackles for loss.

Troy Players to watch:

*Junior OG Kirk Kelley  (6-4/310)

Kelley, a native of Marrero, La., did not allow a sack in 560 snaps and recorded 29 great blocks primarily from his left guard position. He graded out at 90 percent in three games and paced a Troy offensive line that led the Sun Belt in sacks allowed in league games.

*Junior RB B.J. Smith  (5-9/198)

Smith leads the Sun Belt averaging 91.08 yards per game with 1,093 rushing yards on the season. He set a Troy school record with five straight 100-yard rushing games earlier in the year and ranks second in the league with 12 touchdown runs.

Senior NT Trevon Sanders  (6-3/310)

Sanders ate up blocks in the middle of Troy’s defensive line for a unit that ranked first or second in the Sun Belt in most statistical categories. He enters Troy’s third straight bowl game with seven tackles for loss and a pair of sacks on the season.

Senior FS Cedarius Rookard  (6-1/210)

Rookard leads the Sun Belt with four interceptions on the season and also returned a punt for a touchdown in Troy’s victory at Nebraska. He has six total passes defended this season in addition to forcing a pair of fumbles.
